This place is amazing. We ordered the three dish entree special for $36. We selected lomita saltado, chaufa, and aji de gallina. Everything was absolutely delicious. The rice was cooked perfect, it had a little bit of crispiness to it, which was good. The lomo Saltado was absolutely mouth watering with a perfect gravy slathered over fries. And the aji de gallina was potato and shredded chicken in a yellow pepper sauce that is to die for. The service was prompt and friendly and the atmosphere was very nice. We will definitely be going back and you should try this place if you've never been there.

Anytime we are in South Florida, Peruvian food is always a must have. We typically frequent the same two places but for some reason, this trip we decided to try Runas instead. The reviews from other patrons drew us in. When we got there, the entrance was slightly confusing. But once we figured out which door to go in, we were greeted and sat quickly. The vibe of the dining room is eclectic and moody. The pisco sour was well crafted. I ordered the Risotto Huancaina con Loma Saltdao and it was INCREDIBLE. The risotto was perfectly done and super cheesy, the Loma Saltdao was tender and flavorful and they were generous with the gravy. This trip was mid December and we've talked about our meals no less than five times since being home. It's that good. Definitely will be back!!!

So glad my colleague recommended this Peruvian seafood spot! Very cool space, so many great sounding menu selections - it's really hard to pick what to order which is always a good thing! Our server was very nice, and told his favorites - Pescado a lo Macho, Jalea Mixta, Pargo Entero, Arroz con Mariscos, Grilled Octopus, and Ceviche Sampler. ARROZ CON MARISCOS - $21 Seafood paella style rice w/ mussels, shrimp, calamari, and squid. Topped w/ Criolla sauce. The Peruvian white corn was new to me. Loved the flavor of this dish a lot. The shrimp was so good. Enough for 2 people sharing. PARGO ENTERO - $38 Fresh whole fried snapper w/ 2 sides - we picked the mixed salad & fried yuca. Both were yummy. Surprised the snapper doesn't comes w/ any sauce so we asked for a spicy sauce and they brought this nice spicy aioli. Fish was huge and my dad really enjoyed it. Just watch out for the bones! We would definitely come back to try the other dishes next time we're visiting Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood. FYI you'll want do look for street parking.

What a gem! Runas is an excellent and authentic Peruvian restaurant with ingredients so fresh you feel that they were fished just for you. Proprietor Tony D extends the red carpet to his guests. We started with el pulpo. Cooked to perfection with excellent presentation. I went with a classic Pisco Sour, a house specialty, and it was amazing. So good I had another one. We then had the anticuchos: skewered veal hearts grilled. Intimidating but delicious. For the entree we had the risotto huancaina on a bed of risotto. The meat was so tender it fell of the bone and melted in your mouth. We shared all dishes as if they were tapas. The tastes exploded in your mouth as you downed this cuisine inspired by so many cultures, Indigenous, European and Asian. Service was exquisite. Akin to the best Brickell Latin American restaurants. The restaurant is located inside the Tavern, a historic bar that saw the likes of Hemingway and Al Capone. The building was also Hollywood's first police station and is filed with antiques and memorabilia.

I came here with my cousin and 2 friends on a Friday night with no reservation. The place was packed but we were able to be seated. I ordered a caipirinha (Brazilian rum, sugar, lime) the waitress asked me if I wanted the one on the menu and I told her what was in it. She brings me back a blue drink which clearly was not it and I told her that. Her manager who was walking buy said they don't have Brazilian rum but this was a blueberry (could've been black berry) caipriski (vodka, sugar, lime). I told him she didn't say they didn't have it but he said to please try it. I tried it and it was good but not what I wanted but I kept it anyways. The food I ordered was lomo saltado with the fries to be plated separately so they don't get soft. The food was hot, and flavorful. I of course would've liked more steak but the portion was fair for the establishment. 3 of the 4 dishes came out quickly and after 10 minutes we asked about the 4 the dish, turns out the waitress didn't put the order in. Once she did the food came in under 5 min. They had a young man singing live and he brought a young lady up that also sang 2 songs. Both were extremely good. On our way out a gentleman that I think was an owner was telling up about the history of the building and the pictures and decor. I would definitely come back for a date night or for drinks, overall great experience. The lomo saltado and 1 drink was about $45.

All things considered, this place makes some of the BEST Lomo Saltado I've had! The skirt steak was cooked as ordered and had a nice sear. The vegetables were stir fried goodness, but occasionally aren't cooked enough. Raw onions will overpower The flavor and lessen the experience. The broth was hearty with plenty of flavor. I would have appreciated a few more fries to really enjoy all of the broth, but they were crispy and the portion was filling. The interior decorating felt pretty over the top. The Peruvian restaurants I've been to before, have not been anything quite like this. The first impression made me question whether we'd made a good choice in dining there? The food removed any doubts, as it was very satisfying. Service is good, sometimes great so I guess it depends on the day. The Passion fruit Pisco sour was frothy and delicious, as well, and made for a refreshing after dinner delight!
